Goaalll!!! I surprised myself last night by scoring a goal in top division soccer. In Sunday's game I got a great feed from Brian and one-touched it in... but this one, I was tangled up with their defender against the boards and I did a spin move to put me one-on-one with the keeper. I found the inside post and scored with a minute left in the game. We still lost because no one showed up really and we played a guy down for the first couple of minutes, but it was a great way to finish out the season for me!

I had to pass three rounds of tests which went fine, but I know I didn't have all the details on my application that they wanted (I don't remember my address in China, and I have a far from perfect driving record), so I wasn't sure I'd get it until today.

I looked at my phone and knew instantly that I had gotten the job because of the weird area code.
Been a while since I updated here! Then again, I've never been known for my bloggin' consistency. The most important thing is, of course, that my house is throwing a big pre-halloween halloween party this Friday. The last one was great and I hope this one is as good. There will be keg-o-beer.

What have I been up to? As it's been a half a year now, I can safely say that I've quit all smoking. I'm also on three soccer teams! I played outdoor during summer and now I'm playing indoor at the Bellingham Sportsplex. Just like when I was a kid, I'm playing goalie. It's going really well, we win against all but the best teams in the city -- specifically, the WWU soccer guys kick our asses. I've signed on for 3 more teams after this season.

Living on High Street has been great for me except for missing my old roommates, and a lot of my old homies. I've also been playing a hell of a lot of Settlers.

I'm sitting in my Fairhaven office, drinking a beer and watching the sun go down. I've been coming here off and on for the past 5 years now, so it definitely feels strange that we're moving out. Whether it was drinkin' and smokin' on the roof during Ski to Sea weekend, or just having the large space to myself like tonight, I'm gonna miss it.

Not that working from home wont be cool... I'll definitely need to get a laptop and cell phone again so that I can work from the woods this summer :) Things are going well, I'm supporting two companies now (Valley Internet and OpenAccess) instead of one, which is nuts and good at the same time.

Going down to Seattle was fun, Mark kicks ass.

I made a big breakthrough on my Genome programming project, which involved tracking random recursive functions and expressing them through graphics. One step closer to another goal, but this one is slow going.

There hasn't been a lot of new music I've done recently, but that should change soon.

The ability of the human being, judged by my own personal perspective, to simultaneously indulge in a vast range of emotional highs and lows never ceases to amaze me. We pat ourselves on the back for a daily task well done and mourn intently a moment of vice years past. Our personalities, a collection of scars and dreams, formed in triumphs, infirmities, headslams against an axiom of causality borne of responsibility. The slightest of imbalances created this Universe; spiritual callings tread fine lines between annihilation and existence. Given eternity, can we be patient to not walk with those that are higher? Those that walked until walking had no more to offer, distances measured in light...
